Hi- My name is Tab Tabscott, host and webmaster here-thanks for visiting Squareneck.com. I live in the woods on an island paradise. It's 14 miles long by about 4 miles wide, and I rarely  leave, although the large cities of Tacoma and Seattle are only a ferry boat ride away.

I spend most of my time with my wife Polly and our two fine young boys Thaylo and Numinous. At any rate, I have loved the dobro ever since the first time I heard one being played by the great Bob Breidenbach of St Louis, and have rarely missed a day in my life without having one on my lap for at least a short while.Squarenecked dot com started out as a site I used to learn about the web and has evolved into something else. I used to work at  Microsoft Research, and they sent me to internal "school" to become expert at web design. Oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad. I don't work for Bill Gates anymore, although he calls from time to time to ask me for advice. (I'm not kidding). The pictures of the Dalai Lama are real, however, whenever he comes over, I play the banjo. He likes to visit my island because no one bats an eye at a guy wearing a saffron robe here.

There is information for beginning players and stuff about things I have run into while being a dobro player. There are tablatures here from the some of the main dobro heros-like Mike Auldrige, Buck Graves, and Jerry Douglas, as well as some traditional folksongs arranged for your lapstyle pleasure.

I hope these tablatures and other assorted trivialities will interest and excite some of you just the way they did me. If they don't, then please go away. I know I will.
