Each year, DATI (tm) takes dozens of lucky dobro players on select adventures to the most remote and exotic regions of the planet.

Last year alone, we visited 17 of the most outrageous locales in the world, each with dobro in hand. The above photo shows one such group enjoying traditional 'poo-lap' beer on the shores of Lake Chad, in, well, Chad. We had just spent three weeks studying the mystical dobro phantasms of the "Poo-Lap" tribe.

Our next adventure is a trip to Tannu Tuva, where we will jam with the Tuvan Throat Singers!!! A 22 day event, we will travel by camel caravan across the famed Gobi desert, living as bedouins, nomads, and bluegrass musicians, finally arriving at the capital city of Glaub. There we will visit the markets, eat the food, drink the beer, and pick the music.

After that we will participate in the famed "Festival of the dobrolic Throat Singers". For two days, we will eat, sleep, and sing in the Tuvan manner, sometimes in trance, sometimes not. This is not a trip for the first timer-if you are first timer, we suggest one of our milder, shorter, and easier treks, like our famous "Two Weeks on No-Pants Island" tour, or our
"Drink Beer for a weekend at Tab's house Tour".
 On this one, we will sit on my porch and drink beer and pick from Friday night till Sunday afternoon. We'll have barbeque, look at movies, shoot the breeze, tell stories, and go uptown for ice cream. It's a hoot!!!
