Legends of Washington Bluegrass
Harley Bray
Under Construction
The name Harley Bray is synonymous with banjo in the Washington, and everywhere else. His crisp tone is well hailed in circles of the knowing. He and his brother Nate were pioneer players in the midwest in the 40's, and they would probably have achieved stature on a level of the Stanley Brothers or Bill Monroe had Nate not passed away tragically in the prime of his youth. Check out the recordings, and you, too, will know that these guys were the REAL DEAL. Harley still is. His banjo is without a doubt the finest sounding instrument that many people have ever heard. It sticks out of the crowd like a shining jewel in trough of hog slop. No offense, fellows.
