His Lordship-Dr. Otis Lanker

Age 13             Age 42

Adept  at all instruments, Dr. Otis Lanker, (son of Hank Lanker), is the poster child for Bluegrasser's everywhere. He has won the Ticonderoga 5oo Festival of Champions title on 4 out of the 6 bluegrass instruments four years running, and is an international celebrity in China. The People's Republic calls him famous for bringing Bluegrass to the Xiang-Dao province near Tannu Tuva. His matched set of 1923 Lloyd Loar mandolin family instruments (mandolin, mandola, and mando-cello) and his ability to play them in rapid fire succession is truly legendary.

A well known recording artist with 15 solo albums and numerous supporting credits, Otis is the most sought after session player in Mussel Shoals, Alabama. Affable and humble, Otis shuns the spotlight, preferring the more quiet life as a sideman. He's worked with the biggest names in bluegrass.

Born and raised in the bluegrass hotbed of  Blue Holler, Kentucky, Otis is both distantly and closely related to Fairley Sparks. Otis spends his spare time fishing and going to garage sales.
