Pete Martin

Pete Martin has been a fixture of Washington Mandolin since he was born. In fact, some say that "He was born with a gourd in his hand"--Gourd--being a mandolin. He may have picked it up once he was already born, but the legend persists. Pete has won the National Old Time Fiddlers Contest in Weiser Idaho. He was playing the fiddle in the contest. He was a member of the Skyline Drifters with fellow legend Jo Miller. Pete is one of the most sought after teachers and performers in the music in this area, and has written numerous mandolin and fiddle instruction books. Here's a link...
