Legends of Washington Bluegrass
Rich Jones
Rich Jones is from North Carolina. Everybody who knows anything about banjos can tell you that the best banjo players come from North Carolina. Now he has been transplanted to Marysville, Washington where he is an engineer (not on a train, though). Rich's hard driving Scruggs style banjo has been a mainstay in Pacific Washington Bluegrass Bands for the last 25 years. He's performed with everyone, been everywhere, and knows a million tunes. He's also a fine singer/songwriter/guitarist, and has written a number of killer tunes. Rich has been a memeber of the legendary High and Lonesome, Northern Pacific, and the Palmer Sisters. Most recently with John Reischman and the Jaybirds, Rich now performs with the Ohop Valley Boys. Rich owns an extensive wardrobe of performance attire, and is probably the best dressed man in Washington Bluegrass.
