"The word 'anonymous,' conjures up thoughts of 'unknown' or 'secret,' or 'addiction.' I have been 'addicted,' like many others, to the sound of the Dobro for most of my life. I have been fortunate to meet and become friends with resophonic 'heroes' all over the world, including one of the inventors of the instrument, the late Ed Dopyera and his nephew, Ron Lazar. Although I have met and played with almost all of the 'names' in this resophonic world, I can't single out one individual who influenced my playing more than the other. I love them all!
"Although I didn't participate in the actual studio fun of this project, I am honored to have included a couple of the tunes from my first two recordings, Washington Dobro and Josh & Sue – Overdue. "You don't have to do as I have done over the last 30 years, trying to single out the 'best' player—there are a lot of super-pickers in the Northwest. Some of them are called Resophonics Anonymous, and I'm proud of them all!"
