Mike Lundstrom began performing as a
singer/guitarist in the l960s, but ultimately developed severe tendinitis in his
left wrist. In 1989 he had to give up the guitar as a result of the tendinitis. "I remembered how impressed I had
been, years before, with Norman Blake's Dobro work on the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Circle album," he said. "Even though I could no longer hold the
strings down on a guitar I figured I could still play with a steel, so I got
myself a Dobro and learned to play it. After that I got a Weissenborn." Lundstrom released the solo album Please
Accept This Simple Song on compact disc in 1996, Reciprocity in
2006, and currently performs an
eclectic mix of folk, swing, Irish, and country blues with fingerstyle guitarist
Rolf Vegdahl. "We call our music alt.folk,"
he said. Check out Mikes website at www.rolfandmike.com
